Jaipur: Rajasthan is set to establish the Rajasthan Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), modelled after the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, to revolutionise medical education and healthcare delivery in the state. This move follows the introduction of the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (Amendment) Bill, 2025, in the state Assembly on Monday. The bill seeks to empower the state government to grant "government college" status to constituent colleges of the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) — paving the way for the establishment of the Rajasthan Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).
