Bomb threat triggers panic at Mumbai's Nair Hospital
Mumbai: Panic spread across Mumbai Central late Saturday night after Nair Hospital received a bomb threat. An unidentified individual sent an email to the hospital dean warning of an explosive device on the premises. Authorities have since confirmed the threat was a hoax. According to Mumbai Police, the threatening email was sent by an unidentified individual to the official email ID of the hospital’s dean around 11 pm. The timing of the threat raised concerns, as it coincided with the high-footfall period of Ganesh Visarjan celebrations — a time when public places remain particularly crowded in the city.
