Members of Down Syndrome Ireland kick off Purple Run
Members of Down Syndrome Ireland and their friends came together to launch Down Syndrome Ireland’s Purple Run. Taking place in October, Down Syndrome Ireland’s Purple Run is a month-long challenge, which coincides with Down Syndrome Awareness Month. Members of the public are asked to run a marathon (42km) across the month to help raise vital funds. Launching the campaign are three members of Down Syndrome Ireland, who gained employment through the charity’s National Employment Programme.
