With 420 approved seats, 1073 MBBS seats available for MP NEET counselling round 2

The second round of counselling under the MP state quota will include a total of 170 MBBS seats from govt medical colleges, with 85 seats each from newly approved facilities in Sheopur and Singrauli. Following the Delhi high court's authorisation for Index Medical College, Indore to participate in NEET UG counselling for 2025-26, 250 MBBS seats from this private institution will also be available. Moreover, out of the total 4,775 state quota seats for MBBS, 3710 seats were allotted in the first round, of which 1,970 were in government institutions and 1,740 in private institutions. Around 90% of the seats were filled in government institutions, while the number was less in private institutions. In addition, of the 2,163 MBBS seats in govt institutions, 1,970 were allocated in round one, leaving roughly 193 vacant. However, the Private institutions had 2,200 MBBS seats, with 1740 filled, leaving approximately 460 unoccupied. In total, 653 MBBS seats remained vacant after initial counselling. These vacancies, alongside newly added seats, will be available in round two.
